Koi
Angela Murphy
Watercolor | $140
12.5 "x 15.5" framed
This piece is created with watercolor, then transformed into a layered composition by carefully painting, cutting, and arranging each element by hand. The koi fish and lily pads rise off the surface, casting gentle shadows that bring the tranquil pond scene to life and invite the viewer to look closer.
Koi have always been a favorite subject of mine—both to paint and to watch. Their graceful movement represents peace, harmony, and resilience. In creating them, I find the same calm and meditative energy that they embody. This layered style adds depth and dimension, echoing the way koi glide effortlessly through shifting water.

Pink Princess
Angela Murphy
Watercolor | $140
12.5" x 15.5" framed
This watercolor piece features the Pink Princess Philodendron, a plant celebrated for its striking variegation of emerald green and soft pink. The stem and background are painted in watercolor and layered to create depth and connect the viewer.
Nature often serves as my muse, especially the plants I live alongside. This philodendron rests on my ledge, a daily reminder of resilience and grace. Its vibrant colors and bold form inspired me to capture it in this layered style, where the shadows and edges bring the piece to life. In many ways, this artwork is both a reflection of nature’s quiet strength and the grounding peace it brings into my own space.

The New Hancock Beacon
Joseph Lekas
Blended exposure digital photography printed on a (metallic) poly-cotton canvas with a blend of metallic, silver, and pearlescent surface finishes stretched over 1.5” x 2" solid poplar frame with a secure wire hanger | $775
30" x 45"
The New Hancock Beacon is one of my favorite views of Chicago. This image was created using a multiple-exposure blending technique that combines long, medium, and short exposures. The exposures are manually blended to preserve details in the shadows, midtones, and highlights, resulting in a single image with more detail than is normally possible. This process also enhances depth, fidelity, color, resolution, and texture compared to a traditional photograph.
This scene utilizes approximately 12 digital exposures shot in succession over a roughly 10 minute period.

The Pots
Farida Korobova
Acrylics | $40
18" x 24"
In this work, I was inspired by the diversity of shapes found in traditional pots, each vessel offering its own distinct presence. I was also drawn to the contrasting textures of brick and stucco walls on the background, emphasizing the character of each pot. Vibrant shades of turquoise, earth, and deep red were essential for creating a sense of balance. The composition reflects both solidity and fragility and invites the viewer to pause and reflect on the quiet elegance of everyday objects.
